THE FAMOUS STUDIO THEATER

VIDEO OPERATOR TECHNICIAN

My first missions within Disneyland Paris

were in the famous Studio Theater, located in the  Walt Disney Studios Park.  I worked there as a Video Operator Technician for the Toy Story 4 Play Days season.

Under the responsibility of the video team manager, I ensured the smooth running of the mapping projections before, during and after the shows. It was a work upstream of preparation and verification of the technical elements used for the projections.

During the shows, I made sure to operate the software used for the projections, and then adjust the mapping in order to maintain the quality of the projections. It was a combination of technical know-how and respect for the artistic vision of the show.

CAMERAMAN & LIVE PRODUCTION

Vilain 1, Vilain 2, come on stage in 5 seconds. 3, 2, 1, Go! The permanent show Stunt Show Spectacular ignites the public, in a ballet of cars and motorcycles regulated to the millimeter. The interactive show explains to viewers how the movie stunts are constructed and filmed. From the chase, shooting scenes, the biker on fire, to the final jump of a car into an explosion worthy of a Hollywood production, the show is constantly evolving.

The film is shot by a cameraman team, edited by the producer and his assistant and is broadcast on a giant screen live. It is a combination of live performance and film shooting.

It was within this team that I worked as a stage cameraman and producer. The staging as much for the performers as the teams on stage aspires to make believe in a real shoot in which the 6,000 spectators daily

attend!

DRAGON

My missions at Disneyland Paris were quite varied. Permanent shows, shows according to the seasons, and special events. All more enriching than the others, it was a unique opportunity to work with teams from different backgrounds, with state-of-the-art equipment, in extraordinary conditions. Working in the video team was an opportunity to enrich my technical skills and to work with equipment used by the biggest international show productions.

CHRISTMAS MAGIC AT DISNEY.

The show celebrates Mickey's birthday and the Christmas season.  I worked on this show as a Video Operator Technician.

Under the responsibility of the video team manager, I ensured the smooth running of the mapping projections before, during and after the shows. It was a work upstream of preparation and verification of the technical elements used for night projections and led screens.

During the shows, I made sure to operate the software used for the projections and the sending of the media under the responsibility of the stage manager.

This experience gave me the opportunity to work with other teams and in different conditions (outdoor show).

STAGE MANAGEMENT

SHOW SUPPORT - ASSISTANT DIRECTOR

As an Assistant Manager & Show Caller during the Season of the Force, I was in charge of coordinating the teams of the different shows, which allowed me to improve my skills in team management. I also ensured the constant quality, safety, and the good technical and artistic development of the shows. I was responsible for ensuring schedules, communicating operational needs to production, etc. The season included several shows and animations such as: The Galactic Celebration (night show) with pyrotechnics, projection mapping, Star Wars characters. The Imperial March, various parades, the Recruitment of the First Order with Kylo, a daytime stage celebration with the main characters of the saga. A total of 16 shows per day. This experience was a central position within a production that I particularly liked.
